Writing Center

The Writing Center offers one-on-one tutoring for students. Working with a tutor gives students extra attention in a comfortable setting outside of the more rigorous classroom environment. It expands the classroom by helping students learn to improve their overall writing skills.

Our goal at the center is to produce better writers. Sessions focus on student’s individual writing process. They focus on what students are doing right as well as ways to overcome weak areas. Collaboration is the center of the tutoring process. Tutors encourage students to stretch their different writing styles to become better writers. Visiting the writing center on a regular basis is encouraged.
