National Art Honor Society
In 1978, the National Art Education Association (NAEA) began the National Art Honor Society (NAHS) program specifically for high school students’ in grades 10-12, for the purpose of inspiring and recognizing those students who have shown an outstanding ability in art. Two years ago the 9th grade was included as well. The three requirements for membership are scholarship, service, and character. Candidates eligible for selection shall have a minimum art average of B and shall maintain that average or higher for the duration of their membership and they shall have completed at least one semester of high school art at Fairhill. The NAHS strives to aid members in working toward the attainment of their highest potential in art areas, and to bring art education to the attention of the school and community.
