The Fairhill Diagnostic Assessment Center (DAC) provides the community with a professional, full-service educational, and psychological assessment facility. The emphasis is on identification of the patterns of functioning which affect learning. By establishing an inventory of the talents and skills unique to each individual, proper diagnostic assessment defines a foundation for further efforts to help that individual realize his or her potential for learning and psychological development.
The DAC offers all levels of assessment batteries to meet the individual needs of each client from childhood to adulthood. Services range from a basic update of academic achievement to full psychological and psychoeducational evaluations.
Each assessment includes a conference, during which results and recommendations are fully explained and discussed, as well as a comprehensive written report. The staff at the DAC is available for consultation with other health service providers, teachers, or other professionals upon request of the client.
The center is open Monday – Thursday from 8:00 AM until 4:30 PM. Friday and Saturday assessments can be arranged by appointment.
